Amelle Berrabah has been bombarded with hate mail after the departure of fellow Sugababe Keisha Buchanan, it has been claimed. Angry fans are said to have blamed her for the departure of the last original member in the girl band.
A source claims she is "petrified" by the reaction to the news that Jade Ewan will join, while Keisha goes solo.
"Her management have received thousands of abusive letters whilst her Twitter page has been overrun with them. She's petrified - some have been really threatening.
"She won't be hitting the club scene until everything has died down. She feels she is at risk", they explained.
The latest incarnation of Sugababes are expected to release their new single, "About A Girl", in the coming weeks.
