Pussycat Dolls Halo Official Music Video

The Pussycat Dolls (sometimes abbreviated to PCD) is an American pop girl group and dance ensemble founded by choreographer Robin Antin. The group was originated during 1995 as a burlesque troupe based in Los Angeles, California. After attracting national attention, Antin eventually negotiated a record deal with A&M Records and Interscope Records in 2003, and the troupe was transformed into a music group. Following further personnel changes, by 2005 the group was composed of lead singer Nicole Scherzinger alongside Melody Thornton, Jessica Sutta, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt and Carmit Bachar. Subsequently the group also diversified into reality television programs, a Las Vegas act, merchandising and other ventures overseen by Antin, Interscope, and their partners.

The Pussycat Dolls achieved worldwide success in 2005 with their album PCD, which debuted at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200 Chart and produced the successful singles "Don't Cha", "Buttons", and "Stickwitu"; a song that earned the group a Grammy Award nomination. Following the departure of Carmit Bachar in March 2008, the group continued as a quintet and during 2008 released their second studio album, Doll Domination, which included the successes "When I Grow Up", "I Hate This Part", "Whatcha Think About That", "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)" and "Hush Hush; Hush Hush". Throughout their rise to fame, the group has been criticized for its overtly sexual image and explicit dance routines[1] and for the over-emphasis on lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, who sings nearly all of the group's lead and background vocals.

The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, with 79,000 copies sold in its first week, one notch higher than their first album PCD, which debuted and peaked at number five, and sold 99,000 copies in its first-week sales, despite the fact that Alex Vitoulis, ACPM of the magazine, stated he was greatly disappointed by the overall quality of the record. In its second week, the album dropped to number 17, and in its third week, it sat at number 30. It spent an astonishingly short seven weeks in the top 100, compared with their debut album which spent almost a year there, but in the week of January 10 2009, it re-entered the top 100 at number one hundred.

As the album began gaining recognition throughout the United States and Europe the Dolls began their World Domination Tour in Aberdeen, Scotland on January 18, 2009. After two months on the road they later returned to the United States to participate as the opening act for Britney Spears' The Circus: Starring Britney Spears Tour. On May 5, Girlicious opened the last "Circus" show in Canada instead of the Dolls. Then, after filming the video for their single Hush Hush; Hush Hush, the Pussycat Dolls proceeded with their European/Australian tour on May 16, 2009. source: wikipedia

Halo lyrics - Pussycat Dolls

I can make love feel just like heaven (oh)
I can be a little devil in bed and (oh)
Even clean and cook your breakfast
But i'm not perfect, i
I can take off when need your time (oh)
I can cheer lead you for on the sideline (oh)
Whisper in your ear so divine
But i'm not perfect, i

Hope you can forgive me baby
For all the mistakes i've made (ah)
Be patient with me, babe
I'm just tryin' to make my way (oh)
I'm not a superhero
Sorry i couldn't save the day (ah)
Believe me when i say

That i'm sorry i couldn't wear your
Halo, halo, halo, halo
Sorry i couldn't be your
Angel, angel, angel, angel
I'm sorry i couldn't wear your
Halo, halo, halo, halo
Sorry i didn't stroke your
Ego, ego, ego, oh no
I was with him but i guess i wasn't able
I'm sorry i couldn't wear your halo
Halo, halo

I know how to put your mind at ease and(oh)
I can dress you for all four seasons (oh)
Surprise you for no reason
But i'm not perfect, no
I'm on my knees and pray for our love (oh)
Promise not to let anything come between us (oh)
Could you let us fall a part all because
I'm not perfect, i

Now it's like you never knew my heart
I swear sometimes you are
So hard on me cause i'm not everything
That you want me to be
I'm so sorry
I didn't want you to see me this way
I'm so sorry
I didn't mean to fall from grace

The song was recorded in 2009 by the Pussycat Dolls with English lyrics, a different key signature with all vocals from Nicole Scherzinger, produced in collaboration with A. R. Rahman and Ron Fair, and mixed by Peter Mokran. Scherzinger explained that the single is an interpretation rather than a remix. The new version is now called "Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny)".

The song was released on February 23, 2009 on the U.S. iTunes Store and released internationally on February 24. It was initially released as a promotional single, but then later received a full world-wide release as the first single from the two re-issues of Doll Domination, The Mini Collection and Doll Domination 2.0. It is the fifth overall single to be released from the Dolls since 2008.

The music video premiered on March 13, 2009. The video recreates the last scene from Slumdog Millionaire at a Tramway Museum in Vienna, Austria, and was directed by Thomas Kloss. The video received a nomination at the MTV Video Music Awards 2009 for Best Choreography. source: wikipedia

I Hate This Part lyrics - Pussycat Dolls

We're driving slow through the snow on Fifth Avenue
And right now radio's all that we can hear
Now we ain't talked since we left, it's so overdue
It's cold outside but between us it's worse in here

The world slows down
But my heart beats fast right now
I know this is the part
Where the end starts

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye
To find a way that I can tell you
I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can't take your tears
I hate this part right here

Everyday, seven takes of the same old scene
Seems we're bound by the laws of the same routine
Gotta talk to you now 'fore we go to sleep
But will we sleep once I tell you it's hurting me

The world slows down
But my heart beats fast right now
I know this is the part
Where the end starts

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye
To find a way that I can tell you
I hate this part right here
I hate this part right here
I just can't take your tears
I hate this part right here

I know you'll ask me to hold on
And carry on like nothing's wrong
But there is no more time for lies
'Cause I see sunset in your eyes

I can't take it any longer
Thought that we were stronger
All we do is linger
Slipping through our fingers
I don't wanna try now
All that's left's goodbye
To find a way that I can tell you

That I gotta do it,
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it
I hate this part
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it,
I gotta do it

I hate this part right here
And I just can't take these tears
I hate this part right here
