AP Exclusive: Autopsy shocker: Jackson was healthy
LOS ANGELES – Michael Jackson's arms were covered with punctures, his face and neck were scarred and he had tattooed eyebrows and lips, but he wasn't the sickly skeleton of a man portrayed by tabloids, according to his autopsy report obtained by The Associated Press.
In fact, the Los Angeles County coroner's report shows Jackson was a fairly healthy 50-year-old before he died of an overdose. His 136 pounds were in the acceptable range for a 5-foot-9 man. His heart was strong with no sign of plaque buildup. And his kidneys and most other major organs were normal.
Still, Jackson had health issues: arthritis in the lower spine and some fingers, and mild plaque buildup in his leg arteries. Most serious was his lungs, which the autopsy report said were chronically inflamed and had reduced capacity that might have left him short of breath.
However, according to the document, the lung condition was not serious enough to be a direct or contributing cause of death.
"His overall health was fine," said Dr. Zeev Kain, chairman of the anesthesiology department at the University of California, Irvine, who reviewed a copy of the autopsy report for the AP. "The results are within normal limits."
Kain was not involved in the autopsy. The full autopsy report has not been released publicly, but the AP obtained a copy.
Jackson died at his rented Los Angeles mansion June 25 after his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, administered the anesthetic propofol and two other sedatives to get the chronic insomniac to sleep, court documents state. Propofol, normally a surgical anesthetic used in operating rooms, acts as a respiratory depressant and requires constant monitoring,
Murray told police he left the room to use the bathroom and phone records show he also made calls for 47 minutes around the time Jackson encountered problems. When Murray realized Jackson was unresponsive, he began frantic efforts to revive him, but Jackson never regained consciousness and was declared dead at the University of California, Los Angeles Medical Center.
The coroner's office announced last month that Jackson's death was a homicide caused by "acute propofol intoxication," with the other sedatives listed as a contributing factor. They said the standard of care for administering propofol was not met and the recommended equipment for patient monitoring, precision dosing and resuscitation was missing.
Murray is the target of what Los Angeles police term a manslaughter investigation. The decision on criminal charges will come from the Los Angeles County district attorney's office. Murray has been interviewed twice by police.
Except for a brief video posted to YouTube, Murray has not spoken publicly since Jackson's death. In the video, he said: "I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail." Murray's attorney, Edward Chernoff, previously has said nothing Murray gave Jackson "should have" killed him.
Jackson was declared dead a little more than two hours after paramedics were called. Evidence of the desperate struggle to save the star were evident on his body. He had chest bruising and cracked ribs from CPR, and a mechanical device known as a balloon pump was inserted into his heart to try to restart it, according to the autopsy report.
Jackson's body was taken by helicopter to the coroner's office where the following morning Chief Medical Examiner Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran and Dr. Christopher Rogers carried out an extensive review and ordered a toxicology screening to look for drugs in his system.
Aside from propofol and the sedatives, the only substances found in his system were the local anesthetic, Lidocaine, sometimes used to numb injection sites and ephedrine, a commonly used resuscitation stimulant.
No other drugs — legal or otherwise — were detected, nor was any alcohol.
Kain said he was surprised that three other sedatives, known as benzodiazepines, were present with propofol. Anesthesiologists sometimes mix one "benzo" with propofol to help put a patient under, but using three increases the danger for the patient.
"People don't mix the benzodiazepines together because they interact with each other and increase the risk of respiratory arrest," Kain said, adding it was likely Jackson first stopped breathing and then suffered cardiac arrest.
The autopsy findings cut off a potential defense for Murray — that Jackson hid serious pre-existing conditions that increased the risk of death from the drugs he willingly took. Even if he did hide a condition such as his weakened lungs, a prosecutor could argue Murray should have detected the condition before administering drugs, said Michael Brennan, a clinical law professor at the University of Southern California who specializes in criminal defense.
"A doctor has some obligation to know what his patient's physical condition is," Brennan said. "The doctor is going to try to substantiate whatever the patient told him ... and not simply rely on a patient's descriptions of his physical condition."
At the time of his death Jackson was preparing for a series of comeback concerts in London. Rehearsals were rigorous and there were questions about whether Jackson would be physically able to hold up.
But aside from his lungs, the autopsy report did not identify any serious physical problems that might have limited Jackson's ability to perform. It also provided details about his physical state from head to toes.
He had a 3/4-inch scar behind his left ear and another apparent scar behind his right ear. He had a scar beside each of his nostrils and another, 4-inch scar on his right shoulder. He had a pair of additional scars about 3-inches long at the base of his neck and smaller scars on his arms and wrist. He also had a small scar near his navel and a 2-inch scar on the right-hand side of his abdomen.
Kain said most of the scars appeared to be from plastic surgery though others, like a scar on the knee, could have been from a medical procedure.
The medical examiner found numerous punctures on both arms and on a knee and ankle. The leg punctures could have been from intravenous therapies not described in the autopsy report, Kain said.
Jackson had several tattoos, all them cosmetic, including dark tattoos in the areas of both eyebrows and under his eyes, and a pink tattoo around his lips.
He was going bald at the front of his head, with his remaining hair described as short and tightly curled. The bald part of his scalp was darkened with what appeared to be a tattoo stretching across the top of his head from ear to ear.
The coroner found depigmentation of his skin around his chest, abdomen, face and arms.
The coroner also found Jackson was actively producing sperm.

Shakira To Give 'Ugly Betty' Some S.O.S.
Colombian superstar will guest-star in an upcoming episode in the Bahamas.
"Ugly Betty" is about to get a lot more beautiful. Shakira will play herself in an upcoming episode of the ABC comedy.
"We're huge fans of Shakira," show creator Silvio Horta told People, adding that the cameo springs from a moment in the show's first season. "We had a very memorable moment in the third episode where Betty has a makeover that goes wrong and she struts down the street to 'Hips Don't Lie.' "
Horta said the Colombian superstar was perfect for the show about a young Latina woman, Betty (America Ferrera), trying to make it in the cutthroat world of fashion magazines. "We've mentioned her several times over the course of the series and have always wanted to work with her. She's an enormous Latina icon, as is Betty, and we thought it was a perfect fit."
In the episode titled, "The Bahamas Triangle," Shakira helps fix a "Mode" fashion shoot that got off track on location in the Bahamas (where, incidentally, the singer recorded her upcoming album, She Wolf).
Shakira is only one of the big names stopping by "Ugly Betty" this season. Supermodel Christie Brinkley will join the show as Penelope Graybridge, an editor at a competing magazine, and according to E! Online, Kristen Johnston will be guest starring in the role originally meant for Paula Abdul.

Barbra Streisand gets nostalgic on latest CD plus Music Video
NEW YORK – When Barbra Streisand was a 19-year-old ingenue, she never had a problem performing in front of small crowds — it was her livelihood. The Brooklyn girl could only get gigs in clubs that sat a few dozen people.
As she got more famous she abandoned tiny clubs for grand stages. After a while, it got to the point where she couldn't perform for a small crowd, even if was an intimate gathering of friends and family.
"I can't get up and sing when I see faces, I just don't know how to react — I need blackness to go into my own kind of world," the 67-year-old said in an interview last week. "It's disturbing to see people, because if they're not totally enthralled I'm heartbroken, and I get sad and I go, 'Oh god, what am I doing wrong?'"
Streisand didn't have to worry about that kind of reaction during a weekend performance at the famed Village Vanguard, a tiny but historic jazz club in Manhattan's Greenwich Village where greats like Miles Davis performed (and where she tried, unsuccessfully, to perform nearly four decades ago).
She wowed a crowd that represented a fraction of her regular audiences, as about 90 fans, including VIPs like former President Bill Clinton, crammed the club.
But Streisand admitted she was a bit nervous in the days leading up to the event. So why do it?
"It's an adventure — and yet it's nostalgic, isn't it? It's going back to where I began," Streisand said.
The same can be said for her new CD, "Love is the Answer," which was released Tuesday — her first in four years. The album features Streisand singing classics like "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" and "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes."
But while the material may have been familiar to Streisand, the recording process was not.
For the first time, she worked with jazz artist Diana Krall as producer, and did it Krall's way. She performed with Krall's quartet of musicians first, then added orchestration later, instead of her usual practice of performing with an orchestra at the outset (the deluxe edition of the CD features both the quartet performances and the orchestra versions).
But even though Krall was the producer, Streisand — the album's executive producer — was clear about what she wanted.
"She's the director — she's Barbra Streisand," Krall said in an interview earlier this year. "She knows what she wants ... (and) it's been really fun to see her work with the band that I've worked with."
The album is Streisand's first studio production since 2005's "One Voice" with Barry Gibb. Streisand fretted that her voice might not be up to it. Construction on a house left her hoarse as she shouted over the din of the noise and giving directions.
"When I tried to sing I just couldn't make any of the notes," she said, as she recalled her voice before she started recording. "(But) for some reason .... all of the sudden I had a voice — what was exciting was that my voice was there."
Though Streisand recently toured Europe and famously returned to the stage for a tour in 2006 after a 12-year hiatus, she has no plans to tour for her new CD. She recalled a recent dinner with Coldplay's Chris Martin, where the rock singer told her his group tour their records for two years.
Streisand said she couldn't imagine doing that: "I get bored singing the same songs."
In fact, if she had her way, she wouldn't do much to promote her latest CD. She had only done a handful of interviews. This one took place not at her record label but at the Clinton Global Initiative, an annual event started by the former president that focuses on solving problems including climate change, poverty, health and education.
Yet Streisand took special satisfaction in her Vanguard gig. Despite some reports, Streisand says she never officially performed there decades ago but only auditioned briefly for the club's then owner, Max Gordon, when her good friend, Rick Edelstein, asked him to listen to Streisand (and got Miles Davis' band to stand in as backup).
When Gordon told Edelstein she was "too undisciplined" to hire, Edelstein replied: "But she's gonna really be big someday, you're gonna have to pay her big money."
Gordon's reply? "What do you know? You're a waiter."
The story still brings a smile to Streisand's face nearly 40 years later.
"At least I did audition there, and didn't get the job," she says. "Now I got the job."

Sugababe hate mail
Amelle Berrabah has been bombarded with hate mail after the departure of fellow Sugababe Keisha Buchanan, it has been claimed. Angry fans are said to have blamed her for the departure of the last original member in the girl band.
A source claims she is "petrified" by the reaction to the news that Jade Ewan will join, while Keisha goes solo.
"Her management have received thousands of abusive letters whilst her Twitter page has been overrun with them. She's petrified - some have been really threatening.
"She won't be hitting the club scene until everything has died down. She feels she is at risk", they explained.
The latest incarnation of Sugababes are expected to release their new single, "About A Girl", in the coming weeks.

Madonna's U.K. Chart 'Celebration'
Madonna matched Elvis Presley's U.K. record for a solo act as her "Celebration" retrospective (Warner Bros.) debuted at No. 1. Taio Cruz started a second week atop thesingles chart with "Break Your Heart" (Universal Island).
Madonna and Presley, with 11 No. 1s each in the U.K., are now joint second only to the Beatles, who have 15 to their name. According to U.K. Chart Company data, Madonna has also spent more weeks at No. 1 in the market, 29, than any other female solo artist.
"Celebration" pushed label mate Muse's No. 1 of last week, "The Resistance" (Helium 3/Warner Bros.), down into runner-up spot, while Dizzee Rascal's "Tongue N' Cheek" (Dirtee Stank) debuted at No. 3. The U.K. rapper also had a new entry on the chart last night (Sunday) at No. 11 on the singles chart with "Dirtee Cash."
Mika's sophomore album for Casablanca/Universal Island, "The Boy Who Knew Too Much," opened at No. 4, with chart veterans Cliff Richard and the Shadows' "Reunited" (EMI) new at No. 6. Pearl Jam's "Backspacer" (Monkey Wrench/Universal) started at No. 9, becoming the band's seventh U.K. top ten album.
"Total Madness" (Union Square), a new compilation by long-serving "Nutty Boys" of British pop, Madness, came in at No. 11, followed at No. 17 by Sheffield songwriter Richard Hawley's "Truelove's Gutter" (Mute) and Michael Bolton's new album "One World One Love" (Universal Music Record Label) at No. 19.
Taio Cruz remained at No. 1 on the singles survey as the former chart-topper "Sexy Chick" (Positiva/Virgin/EMI) by David Guetta featuring Akon held at No. 2. "Empire State of Mind" (Roc Nation/Warner Music) by Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys raced 15-3, one of Jay-Z's three titles in the top 40.
Shakira's "She Wolf" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment) rose 5-4 and Temper Trap's "Sweet Disposition" (Infectious Music) 16-12. Kings of Leon's apparently inexhaustible smash hits "Sex On Fire" and "Use Somebody" rose yet again, 18-16 and 47-25 respectively.
The Muse album went straight to No. 1 on Billboard's European Top 100 Albums, while "Sexy Chick" withstood the challenge of Madonna's "Celebration" for a third week atop European Hot 100 Singles.

Lady Sovereign Fined For Spitting At Australian Doorman
British rapper Lady Sovereign has spent the first night of her current Australia visit in a cell for her part in a drunken assault on a bouncer. The singer, whose real name is Louise Amanda Harman, was charged with assault on the weekend after spitting in the face of a doorman for the Beat, a popular gay nightclub in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley.
Police reported that the 5'1" rapper was hysterical as she was thrown out of the venue in the early hours of Saturday morning. She had been in the country just seven hours.
Harman faced the Brisbane Magistrates Court later on Saturday (Sept. 26) morning, where she pleaded guilty to assault and drunk and disorderly charges. She was fined $400 Australian ($345) and ordered to pay $200 Australian ($172) compensation to the bouncer.
Magistrate Brendan Butler warned that spitting had "serious health implications" but did not record a conviction.
Harman took to her Twitter account over the weekend to share her side of the story. "Brisbane police need to go catch some real criminals... what a waste," she wrote. "Spitting in someone's face is nasty, but how about a guy dressed up as a girl running at you in the toilets and punching you in the head?"
Just hours after the incident, Harman took the mic for her 4:40 p.m. slot on the opening date of the Parklife national festival tour.

Lady GaGa Is Billboard's 'Rising Star' For Women In Music Event
Billboard announced today (Sept. 28) pop sensation Lady GaGa will be named its "Rising Star" at the 2009 Billboard Women In Music event, taking place on Oct. 2nd in New York City. The Billboard Rising Star Award rewards artists that have achieved a level of success and proven to have vast potential in the early stages of their career.
Lady GaGa is the undisputed break-out star of the year for many reasons, including the success of her debut album, "The Fame" (Streamline Records), which has spawned four Billboard Hot 100 hit singles like "Just Dance" and "Poker Face," both which reached No. 1 on the tally. "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" are also the Nos. 2 and 8 best-selling digital songs of all time, with 4.6 million and 4 million downloads, respectively.
GaGa recently became the third artist in the history of the Mainstream Top 40 Airplay chart to have three No. 1 singles from a debut album. "The Fame" is also the best-selling album from a debut artist for 2009, with 1,441,000 copies sold in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In addition to writing all the tracks on her album, Lady GaGa has previously written for Britney Spears, the Pussycat Dolls, and New Kids on the Block.
"Lady GaGa is one of those rare examples of a truly unique artist with mass appeal," says Bill Werde, Editorial Director of Billboard. "She has established herself as one of today's top songwriters, and the whole world is waiting to see what her next outrageous but brilliant move or style will be. It is that ongoing anticipation, combined with her success that makes her a rising star."
The Billboard Women in Music Event celebrates the most powerful and talented women in the music business, and is held in conjunction with the much-anticipated publication of Billboard's Women In Music Power Players List - recognizing the top female music executives who are leading the industry with their artistic and business vision.
Billboard will also honor Grammy Award-winning artist and pop culture icon Beyoncé with the coveted Billboard Woman of The Year Award at the event.

On August 4, 2009 the album was made available to pre-order through iTunes with the bonus song "Hold Your Head High". This configuration also comes with a reggae version of "Begin Again". Kings of Leon - Use Somebody Live Music Video
Michael Jared Followill (born November 20, 1986), also known as Jared Followill, is a member of American rock band Kings of Leon. He is the band's bass guitarist and pianist. He is the brother to fellow band members, lead singer Caleb Followill, drummer Nathan Followill, and cousin to lead guitarist Matthew Followill.
Jared was born to Betty-Ann and Ivan Followill, a Pentecostal evangelist minister, who traveled around the South. He and his brothers, fellow band members (Nathan Followill and Caleb Followill) grew up travelling with their father, often sleeping in churches, their car or friend's houses, and their mother Betty-Ann taught them when they were not in school. After several years of preaching around the south, their father was asked to leave the church and Ivan and Betty-Ann divorced. He was asked to join the band when he was 15 years old although he had never played the bass prior to joining the band and originally did not want to be the bassist. He taught himself within a month before the recording of Youth and Young Manhood.
Jared was just 16 when the Kings released their first studio album, Youth and Young Manhood, in 2003.source: wikipedia
Use Somebody lyrics Kings of Leons
I've been roaming around
i was looking down at all i see
painting faces, building places i can't reach
you know that i could Use Somebody
you know that i could use somebody
someone like you
and all you know
and how you speak
countless lovers undercover of the street
you know that i could use somebody
you know that i could use somebody
someone like you
off in the night,
why'd you live it up?
-i'm off to sleep
waging war
to shake the cold(?)
i hope it's going to make you notice
i hope it's going to make you notice
someone like me
someone like me
someone like me
somebody
(i'm waiting)
someone like you
somebody
someone like you
somebody
someone like you
somebody
i've been running around
i was looking down at all i see

Jared was just 16 when the Kings released their first studio album, Youth and Young Manhood, in 2003.source: wikipedia
Use Somebody lyrics Kings of Leons
I've been roaming around
i was looking down at all i see
painting faces, building places i can't reach
you know that i could Use Somebody
you know that i could use somebody
someone like you
and all you know
and how you speak
countless lovers undercover of the street
you know that i could use somebody
you know that i could use somebody
someone like you
off in the night,
why'd you live it up?
-i'm off to sleep
waging war
to shake the cold(?)
i hope it's going to make you notice
i hope it's going to make you notice
someone like me
someone like me
someone like me
somebody
(i'm waiting)
someone like you
somebody
someone like you
somebody
someone like you
somebody
i've been running around
i was looking down at all i see

The Black Eyed Peas - I Got A Feeling Official Music Video
The Black Eyed Peas (BEP) is an American hip hop musical group based in Los Angeles. The group is composed of will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie. Since their album Elephunk in 2003, the group's hip hop/dance-oriented style has sold an estimated 20 million albums worldwide and 13 million singles. The group is one of only eleven artists to have ever held the number 1 and 2 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. Their singles Boom Boom Pow and I Gotta Feeling topped the US charts for 25 consecutive weeks, more than any other artist in history. Before Black Eyed Peas, Will.I.Am and Apl.De.Ap were in a group called The Atban Klann signed to Eazy E's Ruthless Records.
The group's fifth studio album, The E.N.D. ("The Energy Never Dies"), was released on June 9, 2009.[6] "Boom Boom Pow" was released on February 22 online and March 30 on iTunes. It became the group's first song to reach #1, where it remained for 12 weeks, on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #1 in Australia, in Canada, and in the UK. The album has a more electro-hop beat rather than the usual hip hop/R&B feeling of their previous albums. The album entered the number one position on the Billboard 200 for the publication's week ending June 27, 2009, selling 304,000 copies during the week ending June 14, 2009.
The first promo single, "Imma Be", was released for download on iTunes on May 19 in the US, entering the Billboard Hot 100 at number 50 on the week ending June 6, 2009.
Group front man will.i.am told Billboard that The E.N.D. stands for "The Energy Never Dies", which describes his model for a project that will be living and frequently updated throughout its designated cycle. "It's a diary ... of music that at any given time, depending on the inspiration, you can add to it," the artist/producer/songwriter explains. "I'm trying to break away from the concept of an album. What is an album when you put 12 songs on iTunes and people can pick at it like scabs? That's not an album. There is no album anymore." He describes the music as "a lot of dance stuff, real melodic, electronic, soulful. We call it, like, electric static funk, something like that." source: wikipedia

Michael Jackson tapes reveal his soul, former adviser says

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Michael Jackson feared his father so much he would faint or vomit sometimes when his father entered the room -- even when the pop singer was an adult, according to a book written by a former Jackson confidant.
"The Michael Jackson Tapes" includes Jackson talking about his fear of growing old, his relationship with children, his friendships with Madonna and Brooke Shields, and his remarkable shyness around people that made his surround himself with mannequins.
Jackson opened up to Rabbi Shmuley Boteach for 30 hours of interviews, which were taped nine years ago and intended for a book Jackson wanted written, Boteach said.
"He was trying to reclaim his life," Boteach said Friday in an NBC "Today Show" interview.
Jackson, who died on June 25 of what the coroner found to be a deadly combination of drugs, "lost the will to live, I think he was just going through the motions of life toward the end," Boteach told NBC.
CNN has not independently confirmed Jackson's quotes in the book, but Boteach was known to be a spiritual adviser to Jackson for several years beginning about 1999.
Ken Sunshine, spokesman for the family, including the singer's father, Joe, issued a statement on the book. "We are not going to dignify this with a comment," he said.
The book was not published during Jackson's lifetime because of the pop star's child molestation trial, which ended with an acquittal in 2005, the author said. The author said Jackson's arrest ended any interest in a book about him.
"I don't want to grow old," Jackson is quoted as saying in one interview with Boteach.
"When the body breaks down and you start to wrinkle, I think it's so bad," Jackson said.

Jackson talked to Boteach about why he was drawn to children, especially those who were sick.
"I love them. I love them," he said.
Helping children enjoy their childhood is his mission, Jackson said.
"I feel that this is something really, really in my heart that I am supposed to do, and I feel so loved by giving my love, and I know that's what they need," he said.
Jackson said that while adults "appreciate me artistically as a singer and a songwriter and a dancer and a performer," children "just want to have some fun and to give love and have love and they just want to be loved and held."
Boteach, in an interview about two years before Jackson's November 2003 arrest, asked Jackson about Gavin Arvizo, the young cancer patient who would later become his main accuser.
"He's special," Jackson said.
"Do you feel that when you speak to people like Gavin, part of the pain goes away for them?" Boteach asked.
"Absolutely," Jackson said. "Because every time I talk to him he is in better spirits. When I spoke to him last night he said, 'I need you. When are you coming home?' I said, 'I don't know.' He said, 'I need you, Michael.' Then he calls me 'Dad.'"
Michael Jackson's taped statements about his father's treatment of him as a child echoed what he has said previously.
"He was rough, the way he would beat you, you know, was hard," Jackson said. "He would make you strip nude first. He would oil you down. It would be a whole ritual. He would oil you down so when the flip of an ironing cord hit you, you know, and, it was just like me dying, and you had whips all over your face, your back, everywhere. And I always hear my mother like, 'No, Joe, you're gonna kill him. You're gonna kill him. No.' And I would just give up, like there was nothing I could do. And I hated him for it. Hated him."
Joe Jackson has denied physically abusing his son. "Now, Michael was never beaten by me, I've never beaten at all," he told CNN's Larry King in July. He did suggest he used spankings for disciplining his children.
Another Michael Jackson quote from the book alleged emotional abuse by Joe Jackson:
"God bless my father because he did some wonderful things and he was brilliant, he was a genius, but one day he said, 'If you guys ever stop singing I will drop you like a hot potato.' It hurt me. You would think he would think, 'These kids have a heart and feelings.' Wouldn't he think that would hurt us? If I said something like that to Prince and Paris, that would hurt. You don't say something like that to children and I never forgot it. It affects my relationship with him today."
Jackson told Boteach he was still "scared of my father to this day."
"My father walked in the room -- and God knows I am telling the truth -- I have fainted in his presence many times. I have fainted once to be honest. I have thrown up in his presence because when he comes in the room and this aura comes and my stomach starts hurting and I know I am in trouble. He is so different now. Time and age has changed him and he sees his grandchildren and he wants to be a better father. It is almost like the ship has sailed its course, and it is so hard for me to accept this other guy that is not the guy I was raised with. I just wished he had learned that earlier."
In the excerpts provided to CNN by the book's publisher, there were no quotes from Jackson discussing his drug use, but Boteach does write about what he saw during the several years he was Jackson's spiritual adviser, starting in 1999.
While Boteach said he never personally saw Jackson use drugs, he did suspect it. "In the time that I knew him, he always seemed intent on me having a positive view of him and nothing untoward was ever done in my presence," he wrote.
While their close relationship ended around the time of the molestation charges, Boteach said Jackson's parents reached out to him later for help in convincing him to enter drug rehab.
"Perhaps I could inspire Michael to make that decision, and his parents thought I could at least help," Boteach said. "But I knew they were wrong. Michael had long since ceased taking my counsel. He found my advice too demanding. I was an irritant and was treated as such."
He said he told Joe and Katherine Jackson that "it was imperative for them to save their son's life by becoming available parents in his greatest hour of need."
Sometimes those closest to Jackson were not people -- but mannequins, the book said. Jackson said he was so shy at times he surrounded himself with dummies.
"Because I felt I needed people, someone, and I didn't have," he said. "I was too shy to be around real people."
Boteach, in the NBC interview Friday, said it made his skin crawl to hear that.
"His celebrity had created a degree of isolation where he could not simply feel comfortable around other people," Boteach said. "He thought that everybody wanted something from him. He felt that he was trapped in this cocoon of fame and that there was some exploitative relationship with virtually everyone that he met."
The book does offer insight into Jackson's dating of celebrity women, including actress Brooke Shields.
"That was one of the loves of my life," Jackson said. "I just wished she loved me as much as I loved her, you know."
He told Boteach one problem he had with women was their jealousy of his fame.
"They admire you and know you're wonderful and great, but just they're jealous because they wish they were in your place, with they were in your shoes. And 'M' is one of them -- Madonna. Hate to say that on tape."
CNN asked Madonna's publicist Liz Rosenberg for a response:
"Madonna was very fond of Michael Jackson (as she clearly expressed in her tribute to him at the VMA's) and I doubt anything in the book will change her mind," Rosenberg said.

Miley Cyrus - The Climb - Official Music Video
"The Climb" is a song performed by American recording artist Miley Cyrus. The song was written by Jessi Alexander and Jon Mabe, produced by John Shanks. It was released as the main single from the soundtrack to Hannah Montana: The Movie; "Let's Do This", "Let's Get Crazy" and "Back to Tennessee" were previously released for airplay, but were not released physically or digitally. The song was written for Hannah Montana: The Movie, a spin-off of the television series to portray the struggles of the plot. The down-tempo song, "The Climb", has country influences and lyrically speaks about not giving up, no matter the circumstances of life.
The song has been critically appreciated with reviewers complimenting Cyrus's natural husky twang and native inflection associated with it. The song achieved commercial success by reaching the top ten in charts for the United States, Canada, Australia and Norway. In the United States, Australia and Norway, "The Climb" became Cyrus's best charting single to date. It scored the highest-charting U.S. single for any current Disney Channel Star and spent over eight weeks upon the top ten. It was certified double platinum by the RIAA in August 2009.
The corresponding music video had Cyrus performing the song while climbing a mountain as well as involving scenes from Hannah Montana: The Movie. "The Climb" was performed live in a number of occasions including: Kids' Inaugural: "We Are the Future", Academy of Country Music Awards, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, American Idol, Good Morning America and more. In 2009, the song received a MTV Movie Awards and Teen Choice Awards nomination in the Best Song from a Movie category and Choice Music: Single; ultimately "The Climb" won both.
The Climb lyrics - Miley Cyrus
I can almost see it,
That dream I'm dreamin'
But theres a voice inside my head sayin'
You'll never reach it
Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking
But I gotta keep tryin'
Gotta keep my head held high
Theres always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
Sometimes i'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about whats waiting on the other side
Its the climb
The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But, No, I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember Most, yeah
Just gotta keep goin'
And, I, I got to be Strong
Just Keep pushing, on
'Cause theres always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
Sometimes i'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about whats waiting on the other side
Its The Climb
Yeah
Theres always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
somebody's gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there

Gotta keep my head held high
Theres always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
Sometimes i'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about whats waiting on the other side
Its the climb
The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down
But, No, I'm not breaking
I may not know it
But these are the moments that
I'm gonna remember Most, yeah
Just gotta keep goin'
And, I, I got to be Strong
Just Keep pushing, on
'Cause theres always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
Sometimes i'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about whats waiting on the other side
Its The Climb
Yeah
Theres always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a up-hill battle
somebody's gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about whats waiting on the other side
Its the climb
Keep on movin'
Keep climbin'
Keep the faith baby
Its all about
Its all about
The climb
Keep the faith, keep the faith woah View Here...

7 Things lyrics - Miley Cyrus
I probably shouldn’t say this
But at times I get so scared
When I think about the previous
Relationship we shared
It was awesome but we lost it
It’s not possible for me, not to care
And now we’re standing in the rain
But nothing’s ever gonna change until you hear,
My dear
The 7 things I hate about you
The 7 things I hate about you, oh you
You’re vain, your games, you’re insecure
You love me, you like her
You make me laugh, you make me cry
I don’t know which side to buy
Your friends, they’re jerks
When you act like them, just know it hurts
I wanna be with the one I know
And the 7th thing I hate the most that you do
You make me love you
It’s awkward and it’s silent
As I wait for you to say
What I need to hear now
Your sincere apology
When you mean it, I’ll believe it
If you text it, I’ll delete it
Let’s be clear
Oh, I’m not coming back
You’re taking 7 steps here
The 7 things I hate about you
You’re vain, your games, you’re insecure
You love me, you like her
You make me laugh, you make me cry
I don’t know which side to buy
Your friends, they’re jerks
When you act like them, just know it hurts
I wanna be with the one I know
And the 7th thing I hate the most that you do
You make me love you
And compared to all the great things
That would take too long to write
I probably should mention
The 7 that I like
The 7 things I like about you
Your hair, your eyes, your old Levi’s
When we kiss I’m hypnotized
You make me laugh, you make me cry
But I guess that’s both I’ll have to buy
Your hands in mine
When we’re intertwined, everything’s alright
I wanna be with the one I know
And the 7th thing I like the most that you do
You make me love you
You do, Uhuhhh, uhmmm

Hot N Cold lyrics - Katy Perry
You change your mind
Like a girl changes clothes
Yeah you, PMS
Like a bitch, I would know
And you over think
Always speak cryptically
I should know
That you're no good for me
'Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white
We fight, we break up
We kiss, we make up
(You) You don't really wanna stay, no
(You) But you don't really wanna go-o
You're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down
We used to be
Just like twins, so in sync
The same energy
Now's a dead battery
Used to laugh 'bout nothing
Now you're plain boring
I should know
That you're not gonna change
'Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black and it's white
We fight, we break up
We kiss, we make up
(You) You don't really wanna stay, no
(You) But you don't really wanna go-o
You're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out
You're up then you're down
Someone call the doctor
Got a case of love bipolar
Stuck on a roller coaster
Can't get off this ride
You change your mind
Like a girl changes clothes
'Cause you're hot then you're cold
You're yes then you're no
You're in then you're out

Kate Perry - Thinking of You Official Music Video First Version
First version
The first music video was released in 2007 and surfaced onto YouTube in May 2008 but has since been removed from the site. The video includes multiple rooms, including a white room with Perry that suggests violence (e.g., red wine), a dark room with an unhappy Perry in an unsatisfactory relationship, and a cloudy location. The video uses a cross-cutting technique that compares the two relationships: one with Perry reminiscing and another showing regret. The video ends with the revelation that Perry literally stabbed a man in the back in the white room.
Perry stated in an interview that the aim of the video was never to get a commercial release, but that it is just a simple video "made by a friend".
Second version
Perry revealed on her blog that she had already started filming a second and official music video in the first week of December 2008, directed by Melina. The video premiered exclusively on iTunes on December 23, 2008.
The music video is presented as a flashback montage with a young woman (played by Perry) whose lover is killed in France during the Second World War. Perry is clearly not pleased with her new love and longs for her deceased lover to be back. It features actor Matt Dallas as Perry's true love and model Anderson Davis as Perry's second love in the video. The music video for song has received more than 14 million views on YouTube. source: wikipedia View Here...
