Reaction to Lewis' debut album was generally favourable. IGN described Spirit as the "perfect showcase for her fantastic skills". MSN Entertainment concurred, saying the "highly impressive debut" album was worth the wait.

The Guardian and The Times were less complimentary, each giving the album a two-star (out of five) rating. The Guardian was disappointed by saying Lewis "has clearly invested every scrap of energy into these songs [...] but being able to belt 'em out is only half the story, and if there's a personality here, it's well hidden." The Times review concluded by saying, "If Lewis is looking for the greatest love of all —public adoration — she will have to do better than this."

The Daily Star's review was more positive, saying, "Fans of her sweet, soaring vocals and power ballads won't be disappointed." The Evening Standard review said that Spirit will be "a very successful album with some much-needed grit."

Popjustice's review was brief, summing up that "It has four absolutely blinding tracks on it, three far better than average tracks on it, and some others which are quite good. There are no totally chronic songs on 'Spirit' apart from 'A Moment Like This'." Digital Spy gave it four out of five stars, claiming that although Lewis had a pallet of different producers working with her, they managed to prevent her from sounding "too fusty or old-fashioned."

I Will Be lyrics-Leona Lewis

I Will Be
There's nothing I could say to you
Nothing I could ever do to make you see
What you mean to me

All the pain, the tears I cried
Still you never said goodbye and now I know
How far you'd go

[Bridge:]
I know I let you down
But it's not like that now
This time I'll never let you go

[Chorus:]
I will be, all that you want
And get myself together
Cause you keep me from falling apart

All my life, I'll be with you forever
To get you through the day
And make everything okay

[Verse 2:]
I thought that I had everything
I didn't know what life could bring
But now I see, honestly

You're the one thing I got right
The only one I let inside
Now I can breathe, cause you're here with me

[Bridge:]
And if I let you down
I'll turn it all around
Cause I would never let you go

[ Leona Lewis Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
[Chorus:]
I will be, all that you want
And get myself together
Cause you keep me from falling apart

All my life, I'll be with you forever
To get you through the day
And make everything okay

[Ending bridge:]
Cause without you I cant sleep
I'm not gonna ever, ever let you leave
You're all I've got, you're all I want
Yeah

And without you I don't know what I'd do
I can never, ever live a day without you
Here with me, do you see,
You're all I need

[Chorus:]
And I will be, all that you want
And get myself together
Cause you keep me from falling apart

All my life (my life), I'll be with you forever
To get you through the day
And make everything okay

[Chorus:]
I will be (I'll be), all that you want
And get myself together
Cause you keep me from falling apart

And all my life, you know I'll be with you forever
To get you through the day
And make everything okay

Lewis recorded and wrote the album in several locations, the first being London, England, where she worked with Steve Mac, who produced the songs "Homeless" and "Footprints in the Sand". "Footprints in the Sand" was written by Per Magnusson, David Kreuger, Richard Page and Simon Cowell. It was influenced by the poem "Footprints". "Homeless" is a song written by Jörgen Elofsson, previously recorded by Swedish singer Darin.

Most of the songs were recorded in Los Angeles, California. There, Lewis teamed up with OneRepublic singer Ryan Tedder, with whom she recorded two songs, "Bleeding Love" and "Take a Bow". "Bleeding Love", the first song confirmed to be appearing on the album, was written by Tedder and Jesse McCartney and produced by Tedder. "Take a Bow" was written and produced by Tedder, Louis Biancaniello, Wayne Wilkins, Sam Watters and The Runaways. Watters, Biancaniello and The Runaways also wrote "Yesterday", with Jordan Omley, Michael Mani, The Jam, and Nina Woodford. "Better in Time" was also recorded in Los Angeles with producer J. R. Rotem, who wrote the song along with Andrea Martin. Lewis also co-wrote "Here I Am" with Walter Afanasieff and Brett James in LA. "I Will Be" is a cover of an Avril Lavigne song, written by Lavigne, Dr. Luke and Max Martin, that was released as an iTunes bonus track and on the special edition of her album The Best Damn Thing. "The Best You Never Had", which was written and produced by Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander, was also recorded in LA.

In Atlanta, Georgia, Lewis worked with producers Alonzo "Novel" Stevenson and Dallas Austin on the song "Whatever It Takes", which Lewis co-wrote together with Novel and Tony Reyes. "I'm You" was recorded in Atlanta with Ne-Yo, who provided backing vocals. "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", a cover of the Ewan MacColl song, was recorded in both Atlanta and Los Angeles. It was produced by Wayne Wilkins, Sam Watters, Louis Biancaniello and The Runaways.

In Miami, Florida, Lewis worked with Salaam Remi, and "Forgiveness" was recorded. It was written by Lewis, Remi and Kara DioGuardi, but was chosen as the B-side to the single "Bleeding Love" rather than an album track. "Angel", a Stargate production, was written by Stargate and Johnta Austin, and recorded in New York.

Lewis's debut single, a cover of Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment like This", is included as a bonus track on releases in the UK and Ireland. The U.S. release of the album will feature two songs recorded in 2008: "Forgive Me", which was written by Akon, and "Misses Glass" written by Madd Scientist and RockCity.

I Wanna Be That Girl lyrics- Leona Lewis

I get this feeling inside whenever I see you
You give me butterflies
And there's nothing I can do The way it feels is just so sweet
Your touch, your kiss it makes me weak
Just let me show you this is true
Give me the chance and I will prove

I really think that you're the one
I want to show you where I'm coming from
I want to be your girl and be the one who's down for you
I'd like to get the chance to show you that
My love is true

I know exactly why I'm falling in love with you
You're so gentle, so special so masculine
It's just like honey to a bee
The way that you have captured me
Just like a taste of ecstasy
[ Leona Lewis Lyrics are found on www.songlyrics.com ]
You need to know that I believe
You are the one that makes me feel this way
The way you make me feel
Just let me show you this is true
I don't want to be without you And I dont want to live without you

I want to be the one

Let me know boy can I be the one that you want that you need

Let me know boy cos I'm into you and I want you cos I need too

How can it be that you're the one
I want to show you where I'm coming from
I want to be your girl and be the one who's down for you
I'd like to get the chance to show you that
My love is true

I'm You lyrics- Leona Lewis
Album: Spirit

How many times
Are you gonna take it
Look in my eyes
Help me make this make sense

Night after night
You sat up and cried
Wondering when you're gonna see things clearer
You don't even realise
That at this very moment
You're talking to yourself in the mirror

It's true
So you think I'm strong but you're feelin that you're weak
Baby I'm you
But we're one in the same so you're just as strong as me
Baby I'm you
And we deserve better it's time for us to leave
You know what to do
Cause I'm not a fool
So neither are you
Baby I'm you

Oh you're not crazy
If only you'd realize

That you and I
Have all the help we need

So why are we sitting here on the floor
(listen to me)
We ain't cryin no more
I am your soul
I am your heart
My strength is yours (Oh my strength is yours)

Baby it's true
So you think I'm strong but you're feelin that you're weak
Baby I'm you
But we're one in the same so you're just as strong as me
Baby I'm you
And we deserve better it's time for us to leave
You know what to do
Cause I'm not a fool
So neither are you
Baby I'm you

So pick yourself up right now
We've been here too long
We've overstayed it enough
That might have been
It's been a long time gone

So wipe away the tears
Ain't nothing for us here
The time has come to move on

Oooohhhhhwwww

Baby we deserve better
And we're far too strong
To let this go on
Baby I'm you

So you think I'm strong but you're feelin that you're weak
Baby I'm you
But we're one in the same so you're just as strong as me
Baby I'm you
And we deserve better it's time for us to leave
You know what to do
Cause I'm not a fool
So neither are you

Lewis was born in the London Borough of Islington, to Aural Josiah "Joe" Lewis of Afro-Guyanese descent and Maria Lewis of Irish and Welsh descent. Her parents enrolled her at the Sylvia Young Theatre School, and from there she attended the Italia Conti Academy and the BRIT School, where she learned to play instruments such as the guitar and piano, and began to write her own songs in the hope of becoming a singer-songwriter, writing her first full-length song at the age of 12. She initially trained in opera, but went on to singing jazz and blues, eventually leading to popular music, citing Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Eva Cassidy as her main influences. After leaving the BRIT School, she took a number of jobs to fund studio recordings sessions; she wrote and recorded songs for a demo album called Twilight, and another demo album, Best Kept Secret, was recorded under licence from UEG Entertainment. However, neither album was released and she considered taking a hiatus from her music career to attend university until her boyfriend persuaded her to enter The X Factor which subsequently severed her connections with UEG.

Here I Am lyrics- Leona Lewis
Album: Spirit

This is a crazy world
These can be lonely times
It's hard to know who's on your side
Most of the time

Who can you really trust
Who do you really know
Is there anybody out there
Who can make you feel less alone
Some times you just can't make it on your own

If you need a place where you can run
If you need a shoulder to cry on
I'll always be your friend

When you need some shelter from the rain
When you need a healer for your pain
I will be there time and time again
When you need someone to love you
Here I am, hmmm

If you have broken dreams
Just lay them all on me
I'll be the one who understands
So take my hand

If you reach emptyness

You know I'll do my best
To fill you up with all the love
That I can show someone
I promise you you'll never walk alone

Well if you need a place where you can run
If you need a shoulder to cry on
I'll always be your friend

When you need some shelter from the rain
When you need a healer for your pain
I will be there time and time again
When you need someone to love you
Here I am, oooo

Everybody needs somebody who
Keep a heart and soul in two

Well if you need a place where you can run
If you need a shoulder to cry on
I'll always be your friend

When you need some shelter from the rain
When you need a healer for your pain
I will be there time and time again
When you need someone to love you
Here I am, Here I am

Could You Be The One Leona Lewis Official Music Video

Twilight is the name of a demo album recorded by the British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis in 2004, two years before becoming famous as the winner of hit reality show The X-Factor.

Information
The album, comprised almost exclusively of her own compositions, was recorded under Spiral Music, a production company based in Fulham. "I tried to secure a record deal by doing things my own way. I worked very hard but I never managed to land a contract", said Lewis.

According to website thelondonpaper, if Twilight had been made commercially available, Lewis "would have been booted off the hit ITV talent show", because it is stipulated that X-Factor contestants must never have released an album under a major record label.

The paper affirms that, at the time that the show was happening, "music industry insiders" were concerned "that her Twilight tracks [could] be released to capitalize on her X-Factor fame, and [could] eclipse any subsequent album releases with Sony".

Predictably, the eleven tracks of Twilight leaked onto the Internet, although the CD itself was never made physically available to buy or to download. "In an age where tracks can be leaked on the internet" said one source, "not owning the rights to a track is a problem."

Despite the fears of the record label, the leaked compositions did not affect the release of Spirit, Leona Lewis' debut album under the Sony Music label.

Leona Lewis performed live some tracks of Twilight during an interview with Colin Murray. The singer made acoustic performances of "Paradise", "Twilight" and "Learn To Love". In the same interview, Leona says that some of the songs were written by herself when she was 12 years old.

Homeless lyrics Leona lewis

Waiting here
For you to call me
For you to tell me
That everything’s a big mistake

Waiting here
In this rainfall
Feeling so small
This dream was not suppose to break

I’m so sorry now
For the pain I caused you
Wont you please forgive
Please

But you don’t love me anymore
You don’t want me anymore
There’s a sign on your door
No vacancy, just emptiness
Without your love
I’m homeless

In this cold
I’m walking aimless
Feeling helpless
Without a shelter from the storm

In my heart
I miss you so much
Missing your touch
And the bed that used to be so warm

I’m so sorry now
For the pain I caused you
Wont you please forgive
Please

But you don’t love me anymore
You don’t want me anymore
There’s a sign on your door
No vacancy, just emptiness
Without your love
I’m homeless

My, My baby
I’m sorry
Oooh

But you don’t love me anymore
You don’t want me anymore
There’s a sign on your door
No vacancy, just emptiness
Without your love
I’m homeless

Bleeding Love lyrics- Leona Lewis

Closed off from love, I didn’t need the pain
Once or twice was enough, and it was all in vain
Time starts to pass
Before you know it you’re frozen, oh

But somethin’ happened for the very first time with you
My heart melted to the ground, found somethin’ true
And everyone’s looking ‘round
Thinkin’ I’m going crazy, oh

But I don’t care what they say, I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein that I keep on closin’
You cut me open and I -

Keep bleedin’, keep, keep bleedin’ love
I keep bleedin’, I keep, keep bleedin’ love
Keep bleedin’, keep, keep bleedin’ love
You cut me open

Trying hard not to hear, but they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears, try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal
Is to keep me from fallin’, yeahyeah, oh

But nothin’s greater than the rush that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness, I see your face
Yet everyone around me
Thinks that I’m goin’ crazy, baby, baby

But I don’t care what they say, I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein that I keep on closin’
You cut me open and I -

Keep bleedin’, keep, keep bleedin’ love
I keep bleedin’, I keep, keep bleedin’ love
Keep bleedin’, keep, keep bleedin’ love
You cut me open

And it’s drainin’ all of me
Oh, they find it hard to believe
I’ll be wearing these scars
For everyone to see

But I don’t care what they say, I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away, but they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein that I keep on closin’
Oh, you cut me open and I -

Keep bleedin’, keep, keep bleedin’ love
I keep bleedin’, I keep, keep bleedin’ love
Keep bleedin’, keep, keep bleedin’ love (love)
Oh, you cut me open and I -

Keep bleedin’, keep, keep bleedin’ love
I keep bleedin’, I keep, (oh, keep bleedin’ love) keep bleedin’ love
Keep bleedin’, (I keep) keep, keep bleedin’ love
Oh, you cut me open and I -

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love

Better In Time lyrics- Leona Lewis

It's been the longest winter without you
I didn't know where to turn to
See somehow I can't forget you
After all that we've been through

Going coming
Thought I heard a knock
Who's there no one
Thinking that I deserve it
Now I realize that I really didn't know
If you didn't notice you mean everything
Quickly I'm learning to love again
All that I know is I'mma be ok

[Chorus:]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

I couldn't turn on the TV
Without something there to remind me
Was it all that easy
To just put aside your feelings

If I'm dreaming don't wanna laugh
Hurt my feelings but that's the path
I'll believe in
And I know time will heal it
If you didn't notice boy you mean everything
Quickly I'm learning to love again
All I know is I'mma be ok

[Chorus:]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to
It'll all get better in time

Since there's no more you and me
It's time I let you go
So I can be free
And live my life how it should be
No matter how hard it is I'll be fine without you
Yes I will

[Chorus: x2]
Thought I couldn't live without you
It's gonna hurt when it heals too
It'll all get better in time
Even though I really love you
I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to (yes I do)
It'll all get better in time

RUN (lyrics)

I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all i've done.

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Anywhere from here

Light up, Light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
It makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
I nearly do.

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Slower, slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess.

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dearI'll sing it one last time for you

You've been the only thing that's right

If I Was Your Woman Alicia Keys Official Music Video

Keys and manager Jeff Robinson signed a film production deal to develop live-action and animated projects with Disney. Their first film will be a remake of the 1958 comedy Bell, Book and Candle and will star Keys as a witch who casts a love spell to lure a rival's fiancé. Keys and Robinson also formed a television production company called Big Pita.[88] Keys and Robinson will develop live-action and animated projects from their company, Big Pita and Little Pita, with Keys as producer, thespian, banner spearheading soundtrack and music supervision.

Keys is expected to play a 1940s biracial piano child prodigy, Philippa Schuyler, in an upcoming film entitled Compositions in Black and White. It is based on a 1995 biographical book of the same name by Kathryn Talalay. "The challenge, in order to actually be able to play classical piano as a woman of mixed race, was by far more than I could ever imagine", Keys said, "That's what intrigued me about that role." The biopic will tell the difficult tale of Schuyler's controversial career, love-hate relationship with her mother, and the black community, her second career as a writer, and her eventual death in a helicopter accident. "Her story is very deep, even up to the point where the relationship between her and her mother gets very strained and she chooses to go to Europe and pass as a Spanish woman in order to be able to play, in order to be able to live a more normal life", Keys said, adding that she and Halle Berry hoped to start shooting in early 2008, but has not been filmed to date. "As of right now, we're still in the first, second draft of the script", she said, "So a little bit of time—at least a year."

Keys collaborated with record producer Swizz Beatz to write and produce "Million Dollar Bill" for Whitney Houston's seventh studio album, I Look to You. It was reported that Keys approached Clive Davis for permission to submit a song for the album. She also collaborated with Jay-Z on "Empire State of Mind", a track off his upcoming album, The Blueprint 3. Keys will release her fourth studio album in late 2009. As part of the promotional drive for the album, she will be performing at the Cayman Island Jazz Festival on December 5, the final night of the three day festival which will be broadcast on Black Entertainment Television (BET). In June 2009, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers honored Keys with the Golden Note Award, an award given to artists "who have achieved extraordinary career milestones".

If I Was Your Woman lyrics- Alicia Keys

If I Were Your Woman
ay yo
drop it on me
yeah yeah yeah yyeah yeah

if I were your woman
and you were my man
you'd have no other woman
you'd be weak as a lamb
if you had the strength
to walk out my door
my love would overule my sins
and i'll call you back or more

(chorus)
if I were your woman
If i were your woman
and you were my man
yeah

she tears you down darling
says your nothing at all
but I'll pick you up darling
when she lets you fall
cause your like a diamond shining
but she treats you like glass
yet you beg her to love you
but me you won't ask

(chorus)

life is so crazy
and love is unkind
because she was first darling
will she hang on you mind
your apart of me
but you don't even know it
I'm what you need
but I'm to afraid to show it

(chorus)
if I were your woman
If i were your woman
if I were your woman
If i were your woman
If i were your woman
heres what I do
I never ever no no stop loving you

In 2006, Keys won three NAACP Image Awards, including Outstanding Female Artist and Outstanding Song for "Unbreakable". She also received the Starlight Award by the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In October 2006, she played the voice of Mommy Martian in the "Mission to Mars" episode of the children's television series The Backyardigans, in which she sang an original song, "Almost Everything Is Boinga Here". That same year, Keys nearly suffered a breakdown. Her grandmother had died and her family was heavily dependent on her. She felt she needed to "escape" and went to Egypt for three weeks. She explained: "That trip was definitely the most crucial thing I've ever done for myself in my life to date. It was a very difficult time that I was dealing with, and it just came to the point where I really needed to—basically, I just needed to run away, honestly. And I needed to get as far away as possible."

Keys made her film debut in early 2007 in the crime film Smokin' Aces, co-starring as an assassin named Georgia Sykes opposite Ben Affleck and Andy García. Keys received much praise from her co-stars in the film; Reynolds said that Keys was "so natural" and that she would "blow everybody away". In the same year, Keys earned further praise for her second film, The Nanny Diaries, based on the 2002 novel of the same name, where she co-starred alongside Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans.[62] She also guest starred as herself in the "One Man Is an Island" episode of the drama series Cane.

Like You'll Never See Me Again lyrics- Alicia Keys

As I Am
Like You'll Never See Me Again
If I had no more time
No more time left to be here
Would you cherish what we had?
Was it everything that you were looking for?
If I couldn't feel your touch
And no longer were you with me
I'd be wishing you were here
To be everything that I'd be looking for
I don't wanna forget the present is a gift
And I don't wanna take for granted the time you may have here with me
'Cause Lord only knows another day is not really guaranteed

So every time you hold me
Hold me like this is the last time
Every time you kiss me
Kiss me like you'll never see me again
Every time you touch me
Touch me like this is the last time
Promise that you'll love me
Love me like you'll never see me again

Oh Oh Ohhhhh

How many really know what love is?
No you never will
Do you know until you lose it

That it's everything that we are looking for
When I wake up in the morning
You're beside me
I'm so thankful that I found
Everything that I been looking for

I don't wanna forget the present is a gift
And I don't wanna take for granted the time you may have here with me
‘Cause Lord only knows another day is not really guaranteed

So everytime you hold me
Hold me like this is the last time
Every time you kiss me
Kiss me like you'll never see me again
(can you do that for me baby)
Every time you touch me
(see we don't really know)
Touch me like this is the last time
(see everyday we never know)
Promise that you'll love me
(I want you to promise me)
Love me like you'll never see me again
(like you'll never see me again)

Ohhh ohhh ohhh ohhh ohhh

When You Really Love Someone lyrics- Alicia Keys

I'm a woman
Lord knows it's hard
I need a real man to give me what I need
Sweet attention, love and tenderness
When it's real, its unconditional, I'm telling ya’ll
Cause a man just ain't a man if he ain’t man enough

To love you when you're right
Love you when you're wrong
Love you when you're weak
Love you when you're strong
Take you higher when the world got you feeling low
He's giving you his last, cause he’s thinking of you first
Giving comfort when he's thinking that you're hurt
That's what's done when you really love someone
I'm telling ya’ll, I'm telling ya’ll

Cause you're a real man
And Lord knows it's hard
Sometimes you just need a woman's touch
Sweet affection, love and support
When it's real its unconditional
I'm telling ya’ll, oh
Cause a woman ain't a woman if she ain’t woman enough

To love you when you're right
Love you when you're wrong
Love you when you're weak
Love you when you're strong
Take you higher when the world got you feeling low
She's giving you her best, even when you’re at your worst
Giving comfort when she's thinking that you're hurt
That's what's done when you really love someone
I'm telling ya’ll, I'm telling ya’ll
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

Sometimes you're gonna argue, sometimes you're gonna fight
Sometimes it's gonna feel like it'll never be right
But something so strong keeps you hold’n on
It don't make sense but it makes a good song
Cause a man just ain't a man if he ain’t man enough

To love you when you're right
Love you when you're wrong
Love you when you're weak
Love you when you're strong (Love when you when you’re strong)
(Take you high’a) when the world got you feeling low
He's giving you his last, cause he’s thinking of you first
Giving comfort when he's thinking that you're hurt
That's what's done when you really love someone
I'm telling ya’ll, I'm telling ya’ll
I'm telling ya’ll that a woman ain't a woman if she ain’t woman enough
(To love ya!)
Love you when you're right
Love you when you're wrong
(To hold ya!)
Love you when you're weak
Love you when you're strong
Take you higher and higher
when the world got you feeling low
She's giving you her best, even when you’re at your worst
(even when you’re at your worst, BABYBA!)
Giving comfort when she's thinking that you're hurt
That's what's done when you really love someone
I'm telling ya’ll, I'm telling ya’ll
Mm, mm, yeah (4x)

Battle lyrics- Colbie Caillat

You thought we'd be fine
All these years gone by, now, you're askin' me to listen
Well, then tell me 'bout everything
No lies, we're losin' time

'Cause this is a battle and it's your final last call
It was a trial, you made a mistake, we know
But why aren't you sorry, why aren't you sorry, why?
This can be better, you used to be happy, try

Oh, oh, oh, oh

You've got them on your side
And they won't change their minds, now it's over
And I'm feelin' like we've missed out on everything
I just hope it's worth the fight

'Cause this is a battle and it's your final last call
(Why'd you have to let it go?)
It was a trial, you made a mistake, we know
(Can't you see you hurt me, so?)
But why aren't you sorry, why aren't you sorry, why?
Things can be better, you can be happy, try

Oh, oh, oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh, oh

'Cause this is a battle and it's your final last call
It was a trial, you made a mistake, we know
(Can't you see you hurt me, so?)
Why aren't you sorry, why aren't you sorry, why?
This can be better, we can be happy, try

Oh, oh, oh, oh
This is a battle, this is a battle
Oh, oh, oh, oh
And it's your final last call

Oh, oh, oh, oh
This is a battle, this is a battle
Oh, oh, oh, oh
And it's your final last call
This is a battle and it's your final last call

Midnight Bottle lyrics- Colbie Caillat

Midnight bottle take me come with me my memories and everything come back to me
Midnight bottle make it real what feels like make believe so I can see a little more clearly
Like every single move you make kissing me so carefully on the corners of my dreaming eyes

I've got a midnight bottle gonna drink it down
A one way ticket takes me to the times we had before
When everything felt so right
If only for tonight I've got a midnight bottle gonna ease my pain
From all these feelings driving me insane
When I'm with you and everything's all right if only for tonight
Got a midnight bottle drifting off into the candlelight where I can find you in your time
A midnight bottle I forgot how good it felt to be in a dream just like you had me
Cuz lately I've been stumbling feels like I'm recovering
But I think it's only for tonight

I've got a midnight bottle gonna drink it down
A one way ticket takes me to the times we had before
When everything felt so right
If only for tonight I've got a midnight bottle gonna ease my pain
From all these feelings driving me insane
When I'm with you and everything's all right if only for tonight
If only for tonight, if only for tonight, if only for tonight

I've got a midnight bottle gonna drink it down
A one way ticket takes me to the times we had before
When everything felt so right
If only for tonight I've got a midnight bottle gonna ease my pain
From all these feelings driving me insane
When I'm with you and everything's all right if only for tonight

Bubbly lyrics- Colbie Caillat

Will you count me in?

I've been awake for a while now.
You've got me feeling like a child now.
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face,
I get the tingles in a silly place.

It starts in my toes,
And I crinkle my nose.
Wherever it goes I'll always know,
That you make me smile.
Please stay for a while now.
Just take your time,
Wherever you go.

The rain is falling on my window pane,
But we are hiding in a safer place.
Under covers staying dry and warm.
You give me feelings that I adore.

They start in my toes,
Make me crinkle my nose.
Wherever it goes I'll always know,
That you make me smile.
Please stay for a while now.
Just take your time,
Wherever you go.

What am I gonna say,
When you make me feel this way?
I just...mmm.

And it starts in my toes,
Makes me crinkle my nose.
Wherever it goes I'll always know,
That you make me smile.
Please stay for a while now.
Just take your time,
Wherever you go.

Da-Da-Dum-da-da-da-da-da.

I've been asleep for a while now.
You tucked me in just like a child now.
'Cause every time you hold me in your arms,
I'm comfortable enough to feel your warmth.

It starts in my soul,
And I lose all control.
When you kiss my nose,
The feeling shows.
'Cause you make me smile.
Baby just take your time now,
Holding me tight.

Wherever, wherever, wherever you go.
Wherever, wherever, wherever you go.
Wherever you go,
Always know,
'Cause you make me smile even just for a while.

wake Up Wake Up This Aint Just A Thing That You
give Up Give Up Don't You Say That I'd Be

Celine Dion Remember Music Video

Dion's real international breakthrough came when she paired up with Peabo Bryson to record the title track to Walt Disney Pictures animated film Beauty and the Beast (1991). The song captured a musical style that Dion would utilize in the future: sweeping, classical and soft rock influenced adult contemporary ballads with soft instrumentation. Both a critical and commercial smash, the song became her second United States top 10 hit, and also won the Academy Award for Best Original Song, Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, Grammy Awards for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and "Best Song Written for a Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media, and was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year. That song was also the first single from Celine Dion album which had a soft rock influence that was combined with elements of soul and classical music. Due to the success of the lead-off single, the album was as well received. As with Dion's earlier releases, the album had an overtone of love.

Dion worked with a new team of writers and producers on her eponymous album. Five songs were written by Diane Warren. "With This Tear" was a gift from Prince who wrote the song especially for Céline Dion and offered it to her. The tracks were produced mainly by Walter Afanasieff, Ric Wake and Guy Roche. Thanks to Celine Dion, the singer was nominated also for a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.

Acadian Driftwood lyrics - Celine Dion

(duet with Zachary Richard)

The war was over and the spirit was broken
The hills were smokin' as the men withdrew
We stood on the cliffs
Oh, and watched the ships
Slowly sinking to their rendezvous
They signed a treaty and our homes were taken
Loved ones forsaken
They didn't give a damn
Try'n' to raise a family
End up the enemy
Over what went down on the plains of Abraham

Acadian driftwood
Gypsy tail wind
They call my home the land of snow
Canadian cold front movin' in
What a way to ride
Oh, what a way to go

Sailing out of the gulf headin' for Saint Pierre
Nothin' to declare
All we had was gone
Broke down along the coast
But what hurt the most
When the people there said
"You better keep movin' on"

I've worked in the fields down in New Orleans
It was ever green up until the floods
You could call it an omen
Points to where you're goin'
Set my compass north
I got winter in my blood

Acadian driftwood
Gypsy tail wind
They call my home the land of snow
Canadian cold front movin' in
What a way to ride
Ah, what a way to go

Sais tu, A-ca-di-e j'ai le mal du pays
[you know, acadia, I long for the country (I am homesick)]
Ta neige, Acadie, fait des larmes au soleil
[your snow, acadia, makes tears in the sun (or for the sun)]
J'arrive Acadie, teedle um, teedle um, teedle ooh
[i am arriving acadia (or I am coming acadia)]

Celine Dion My Heart Will Go On Exclusive Live Music Video

Dion followed Falling into You with Let's Talk About Love (1997), which was publicized as its sequel. The recording process took place in London, New York City, and Los Angeles, and featured a host of special guests, such as Barbra Streisand on "Tell Him"; the Bee Gees on "Immortality"; and world-renowned tenor Luciano Pavarotti on "I Hate You Then I Love You". Other musicians included Carole King, Sir George Martin and Jamaican singer Diana King, who added a reggae tinge to "Treat Her Like a Lady". As the name suggests, the album had the same theme as Dion's preceding albums—"love". However, emphasis was also placed on "brotherly love" with "Where Is the Love" and "Let's Talk About Love". The most successful single from the album became the classically influenced ballad "My Heart Will Go On", which was composed by James Horner, and produced by Horner and Walter Afanasieff. Serving as the love theme for the 1997 blockbuster film Titanic, the song topped the charts across the world, and became Dion's signature song. The singles "My Heart Will Go On" and "Think Twice" made her the only female artist in the UK to have two singles to sell more than a million copies. In support of her album, Dion embarked on the Let's Talk About Love Tour between 1998 and 1999.

Dion ended the 1990s with two more extremely successful albums—the Christmas album These Are Special Times (1998), and the compilation album All the Way… A Decade of Song (1999). On These Are Special Times, Dion became more involved in the writing process. She co-wrote the song, Don't Save It All For Christmas Day along with Ric Wake and Peter Zizzo. The album was her most classically influenced yet, with orchestral arrangements found on virtually every track. "I'm Your Angel", a duet with R. Kelly, became Dion's fourth U.S. number one single, and another hit single across the world. All the Way... A Decade of Song drew together her most successful hits coupled with seven new songs, including the lead off single "That's the Way It Is", a cover of Roberta Flack's "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", and "All the Way", a duet with Frank Sinatra. By the end of the 1990s, Celine Dion had sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, and had won a slew of industry awards. Her status as one of the biggest divas of contemporary music was further solidified when she was asked to perform on VH1's Divas Live special in 1998, with superstars Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estefan, Shania Twain and Mariah Carey. Dion also performed in Modena, Italy for the PBS special Pavarotti and Friends along with artists like The Corrs, Jon Bon Jovi, The Spice Girls, and Vanessa Williams. That year she also received two of the highest honors from her home country: "Officer of the Order of Canada for Outstanding Contribution to the World of Contemporary Music" and "Officer of the National Order of Quebec". A year later she was inducted into the Canadian Broadcast Hall of Fame, and was honoured with a star on Canada's Walk of Fame. She also won the Grammy Awards for "Best Female Pop Vocal Performance" and the most coveted "Record of the Year" for "My Heart Will Go On" (the song won four awards, but two were presented to the songwriters).

Compared to her debut, both the quality and sound of Dion's music had also changed significantly. The soft-rock influences on her earlier releases were no longer prominent; they were replaced with more soulful, adult contemporary styles. However, the theme of "love" remained in most of her releases, and this led to some dejectors dismissing her musical tones as banal. Even though she was still praised for her vocal abilities (Elysa Gardner of the L.A. Times called her voice a "technical marvel"), the much-favored vocal restraint heard on her early releases had diminished, and Steve Dollar, in reviewing These Are Special Times, wrote that Dion was a "vocal Olympian for whom there ain't no mountain—or scale—high enough."

My Heart Will Go On lyrics - Celine Dion

Every night in my dreams
I see you, I feel you,
That is how I know you go on

Far across the distance
And spaces between us
You have come to show you go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime
And never let go till we're gone
Love was when I loved you
One true time I hold to
In my life we'll always go on

Near, far, wherever you are
I believe that the heart does go on
Once more you open the door
And you're here in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

There is some love that will not go away

You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on
We'll stay forever this way
You are safe in my heart
And my heart will go on and on

Dion's music has been influenced by genres ranging from rock and R&B to gospel and classical. While her releases have often received mixed critical reception, she is renowned for her technically skilled and powerful vocals. Dion is the best selling Canadian artist of all time; and her album, D'eux is the best selling French-language album of all time. In 2004, after surpassing 175 million in album sales worldwide, she was presented with the Chopard Diamond Award at the World Music Awards for becoming the best selling female artist of all time. In April 2007 Sony BMG announced that Celine Dion had sold over 200 million albums worldwide.
The youngest of fourteen children born to Adhémar Dion and Thérèse Tanguay, both of French Canadian descent, Céline Dion was raised a Roman Catholic in a poverty-stricken, but, by her own account, happy home in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada. Music had always been a part of the family (Dion was named after the song "Céline", recorded by French singer Hugues Aufray two years before her birth), as she grew up singing with her siblings in her parents' small piano bar called 'Le Vieux Baril.' From an early age Dion had dreamed of being a performer. In a 1994 interview with People magazine, she recalled, "I missed my family and my home, but I don't regret having lost my adolescence. I had one dream: I wanted to be a singer."

At age twelve, Dion collaborated with her mother and her brother Jacques to compose her first song, "Ce n'était qu'un rêve" ("It Was Only a Dream"). Her brother Michel Dondalinger Dion sent the recording to music manager René Angélil, whose name he discovered on the back of a Ginette Reno album. Angélil was moved to tears by Dion's voice, and decided to make her a star. He mortgaged his home to fund her first record, La voix du bon Dieu (a play on words "The Voice of God/The Way of God", 1981), which became a local number-one record and made Dion an instant star in Quebec. Her popularity spread to other parts of the world when she competed in the 1982 Yamaha World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, Japan, and won the musician's award for "Top Performer" as well as the gold medal for "Best Song" with "Tellement j'ai d'amour pour toi" ("I Have So Much Love for You").

Fade Away Lyrics - Celine Dion

i learned from the past
not everything lasts
i understand that now
everything changed
when you walked away
but i'll survive somehow
though i have regrets
i'll learn to forget
and just keep moving on
cause when love is gone
you have to be strong
once touched by pain
you're not the same
but time can heal
your heart again
so let the clouds
that bring you down
just fade away
away

so i try to smile
but after a while
the memories come back
but i won't give in
cause i know that then
my heart will fade to black

and this time i learned
that love can burn
there's no right or wrong
i've got to be strong

once touched by pain
you're not the same
but time can heal
your heart again
so let the clouds
that bring you down
just fade away
away

i know that one day i'll find that feeling again
but until i do i'll do fine by myself

once touched by pain
you're not the same
but time can heal
your heart again
so let the clouds
that bring you down
you know that

once touched by pain
you're not the same
but time can heal
your heart again
so let the clouds
that bring you down
so let the clouds
that bring you down
just fade away
away

Céline Marie Claudette Dion , CC, OQ (born March 30, 1968) is a Canadian singer, occasional songwriter, actress, and entrepreneur. Born to a large, impoverished family in Charlemagne, Quebec, Dion emerged as a teen star in the French-speaking world after her manager and future husband René Angélil mortgaged his home to finance her first record. In 1990, she released the anglophone album Unison, establishing herself as a viable pop artist in North America and other English-speaking areas of the world.

Dion had first gained international recognition in the 1980s by winning both the 1982Yamaha World Popular Song Festival and the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest. Following a series of French albums in the early 1980s, she signed on to CBS Records Canada in 1986. During the 1990s, with the help of Angélil, she achieved worldwide fame after signing with Epic Records and releasing several English albums along with additional French albums, becoming one of the most successful artists in pop music history. However, in 1999 at the height of her success, Dion announced a temporary retirement from entertainment in order to start a family and spend time with her husband, who had been diagnosed with cancer. She returned to the top of pop music in 2002 and signed a three-year (later extended to almost five years) contract to perform nightly in a five-star theatrical show at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. source: wikipedia

There Comes a Time lyrics - Celine Dion

Let me be your soldier
I'll stand up for you
When your world comes crashing down
I'll be the one to hold you
Let me be your soldier
I'll fight the fight for you
When you're up against the wall
I will pull you through

There comes a time
In everybody's life
When alone is not enough
To make things right
There comes a time
When we need to ask for help
When you're lost and just not strong enough
To make it through the night
When your love is on the frontline...

Let me be your soldier
I'll take the pain for you
When no one else is on your side
I'll defend you
Let me be your soldier
I'll carry the cross for you
When you're down and on your knees
I'll protect you

There comes a time
In everybody's life
When alone is not enough
To make things right
There comes a time
When we need to ask for help
When we're lost and just not strong enough
To make it through the night
When your love is on the frontline...
Let me be your soldier

There comes a time
In everybody's life
When alone is not enough
To make things right
There comes a time
When we need to ask for help
When we're lost and just not strong enough
To make it through the night
When your love is on the frontline
When your love is on the frontline
When your love is on the frontline...
Let me be your soldier,
I'll die for you...
